New Leadership is on the Way

New Leadership is on the Way

Some Christians are concerned about the new leadership poised to take power in Washington, D.C. as a result of this week's elections.  There is legitimate concern that this new leadership will be unfriendly toward Christians and the biblical values we are called to live by each day.  The news media continues to debate if this was a "blue wave" or simply a temporary correction to the balance of power, but one thing we know for sure:  There is a powerful "wave" ascending to leadership in our nation---today's college students are the future leaders of our nation and what they are learning about God and Christianity does not bode well for our nation.  But some people called by God are interceding and influencing tomorrow's leaders in a positive way.

Jane Pantig is Co-Chapter Director at the University of California System for Ratio Christi Ministries.  Jane joins us this morning to share some of the crucial questions today's students are asking and the importance of giving them truthful, biblical answers to their questions.

Can a True Believer Lose His Salvation?

Can a True Believer Lose His Salvation?

Can a true believer lose their salvation? This question has been debated for nearly 2,000 years and remains an issue that even theologians disagree on. It is an important discussion to have, because your beliefs can have a big impact on how you choose to live as a Christian.

Those who believe you can lose your salvation will point to the dangers of professing Christians becoming lazy in their faith or those who continue to sin without any perceived consequence since they believe in they cannot lose their salvation. What about the process of sanctification, how does that fit in this conversation? Those who believe in eternal security might look at others and think they are trying to be saved by their good works.

Pastor Mike Abendroth of No Compromise Radio joins us to see what the Bible says about the subject as well as how we have assurance of eternal life in Christ.

Former Atheist on Need for Christian Maturity, Apologetics

Former Atheist on Need for Christian Maturity, Apologetics

First time guest, Vas Avramidis, Ratio Christi chapter director at Rutgers University, joins us today. Being a former atheist, Vos quickly learned at college that most Christian students could not explain why they believed what they believe. He tried Buddhism, became a Wiccan, and even explored Hare Krishna before coming to faith in Jesus Christ.

He then realized how important and vital it was for Christians to not only share the gospel, but to disciple and prepare young people for the hostility toward Christianity on most college campuses. We also discuss a lack of maturity overall in the church today which goes right along with the high degree of biblical illiteracy. We’ll talk solutions.

Order vs. Chaos

God is a god of order.  Satan is a master of chaos and the prince of this world.  Christians are called to be light and salt to the world. How do we as disciples of Jesus Christ navigate this life in an orderly, biblical fashion when the world thrives on chaos and confusion? Dave Wager of Silver Birch Ranch and Nicolet Bible Institute joins us to discuss this challenging dilemma.

Dismissing Doctrine, Islam, Witchcraft

Last week, some media outlets covered a story of a group of Witches gathering to cast a curse on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.  Their curse called for him to suffer physically and emotionally and lead to his eventual death.  The secular outlets that covered it mostly laughed it off as foolishness.  But to dismiss witches casting spells may be foolish and ignorant as well.  Should these curses be dismissed or taken seriously?

Elijah Abraham has traveled to dozens of countries sharing the gospel with Muslims, and equipping Christian pastors and leaders to share the gospel in their nations. Some of these nations are ones where witch doctors and spiritual shamans cast similar spells.  Abraham also equips Christians in nations where going public with your Christian faith might be met with violent opposition. He joins us to share his ministry experiences, and to discuss the effectiveness and maturity of professing Christian Churches in our own nation as we continue to see compromise with the world.

SCRIPTURES

Concerning him we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. 12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant. 14 But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil. Hebrews 5:11-14

Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, 2 of instruction about washings and laying on of hands, and the resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment. 3 And this we will do, if God permits. Hebrews 6:1-3

And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some aspastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. 14As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; 15 but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ; Ephesians 4:11-15

The Growing Complexity of Freedom of Speech

The constitutionally protected right of freedom of speech and religious expression used to be a pretty straight forward issue.  But with the advent of social media, corporate “branding” and a society that is easily offended, it has become a much more complex issue.

This morning we look at a couple of stories that point out the new reality facing us in a country claiming to value freedom of speech, but is becoming increasingly intolerant of any view that opposes a humanistic, politically-correct, God-hating agenda.

In our first segment, Jay Seegert of The Starting Point Project joins us to discuss the challenges we as believers face in sharing the gospel including the truth of creation with people currently blinded to spiritual things.

What is Behind the Modern Liberal Curtain?

When you watch a movie with great special effects, what you see looks amazing (Buildings exploding, giant dinosaurs, super heroes flying). But when you look behind the curtain so to speak, and see how computer generated imaging produces these effects, the magic wears off and you realize it is all fantasy and illusion.

Today, we look at the hard core progressive movement in our nation and how it is built on contradiction and illusion, but sadly most Americans never take the time to look at what is actually going on or where we are being led.  And this same deceit might just be infecting the very church you attend every Sunday.

John Loeffler of Steel on Steel radio is an authority on the real agenda and thought process of the hardcore Left joins us to help us take a peek behind the curtain of illusion that is modern Liberalism.

Quote from John Loeffler:

Are we going to be a free society with the rights guaranteed under the Constitution of speech and religion and press and property – all of which have been under siege by judicial activism for the last 50 years – or will we go careening forward into some kind of oligarchic, progressive, socialistic dictatorship that we know from countries around the world that always fails with economic and social collapse?

We discuss the difference between Left and Liberal, the contradictions within the very thinking of progressives, the long-term effects of the transgender movement and gender-fluid conditioning, and the failure of many churches to stand for the inerrancy of Scripture and biblical morality.

No Comment or Question Off Limits

So many controversial issues and debates, so little time! Here’s what listeners want to discuss today:

  • To what level can a Christian be depressed?

  • How much does our faith play into our emotional and mental health, and how much depends on trusting God?

  • I know spiritual warfare is real because we are warned many times about it in the New Testament, but to what extent can demons influence Christians?

  • My strong hunch is that a majority of Americans have bought the lies and accusations about Justice Kavanaugh because they no longer think logically.

  • What do you think the greater problem in most churches is – ignorance in the pulpit or cowardice?

  • Didn’t know how extensive the Burning Man movement has become. It seems like a combination of New Age, humanism, environmentalism, and a combo of religions: can you please boil this ideology down so it’s easier to understand?

  • With all the division and spiritual confusion in the church, it’s no wonder many young people want nothing to do with Christianity today.

  • I’m a newer Christian, could you please explain Replacement Theology? Is it a salvation issue?

  • Hillsong’s stance on issues such as evolution, homosexuality, and seeker-friendly movement are concerning to the Australian Council of Churches. Hillsong produced some wonderful music, but as a whole they seem to have exchanged traditional, historical Christian doctrines to seek fame and fortune.

  • I’m a former Catholic and know some good Roman Catholic friends, even though many of their Church doctrines are unbiblical: can a Catholic go to heaven if they remain in that Church?

Mormon No Longer

In the final segment this morning, Mike and David look at an important announcement from leadership of the Mormon Church: they will no longer call themselves “Mormons” so they can, in their words, emphasize their “Christian” doctrine.  Those of us who understand the Bible compared to the foundational beliefs of Mormonism realize this is pure deception, and we’ll explore the potential reasons they are making this change in name only.

We’ll also look at an interfaith religious coalition’s “Peace Caravan” headed to Israel to promote a peace treaty between Israel and the nations committed to her destruction.

In the first segment, we continue our look at “30 Biblical People You Need to Know” with Pastor Randy White.  Our subjects include Saul, King David, Solomon, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, John the Baptist, Nehemiah, King Herod and Daniel.

Same Facts, Different Conclusions

It is interesting how two people can view the same exact facts and evidence, yet come to two completely different conclusions based on those facts.  Born-again believers look at the wonders of this world and the created universe completely convinced it was all crafted by an amazing God.  But atheists and skeptics look at the same evidence and facts and conclude that it all happened out of random chance and chaos.

As the world started introducing ideas such as free sexual expression in the 1960s and gender fluidity in the 2000s, they touted the benefits of experimentation while we as born-again believers saw serious dangers.  In our final, segment, Mike and David will share some of the effects of this movement to see who was right.

But first, Carl Kerby of Reasons for Hope Ministries joins the program to talk about how Christians can use the evidence of creation all around us to point people to the truth of God and His Word.

Dept. of Ed investigating alleged assault by ‘gender fluid’ boy

A public school district in Georgia is under fire after a five-year old-girl said she was sexually assaulted by a transgender student in the school restroom.

Despite a plea from parents in 2016, the public school district follows a transgender-friendly policy that allowed the male student to enter the girls’ restroom without being punished. The same policy also requires male students to be addressed by a female pronoun, and allows male students to participate in female sports team and to room with females on school trips.

Alliance Defending Freedom attorney Christiana Holcomb tells OneNewsNow that City Schools of Decatur refused to investigate the girl’s claims of assault, which is required under Title IX, and has refused to change the policy that affects approximately 5,600 students at nine schools.

“And they even refused to remove the little boy from the little girl’s classroom,” Holcomb alleges.

Parents facing incorrect pressure to affirm transition

Dr. Michelle Cretella, executive director of the American College of Pediatricians, says the “Transgender Adolescent Suicide Behavior” study can incorrectly pressure parents to put their children through radical transition-affirming therapies, when there is no proof that will prevent suicides. She says other factors must be considered.

“What I contend is that there are underlying issues that the children are dealing with that leads to depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and their gender dysphoria,” she tells OneNewsNow.

Swimming in a Cesspool & Thinking We’re Clean

Our nation, not to mention the entire world, is in deeper trouble every passing day.  Moral boundaries and clear lines that used to delineate right from wrong have become blurred and minimized; they are now moving targets that have no basis in the consistent moral standards of God’s Word.  Instead, in our ill-fated attempts to make this a better world, we impose constantly changing human standards on society and individuals: standards that change from year to year ushering confusion and intellectual paralysis.

And in the midst of this increasingly confused and evil world are a group of people called born-again Christians.  And these peculiar people are forced to live in a world that contradicts everything they know and believe. We are to love others  around us but not love what this world stands for.

Dave Wager of Nicolet Bible Institute and Silver Birch Ranch joins us to discuss how true Christians navigate life in a world that opposes God more with each passing year.

The Challenge and Opportunity of Islam’s Growth

When you see someone who is a Muslim, what is the first thing that pops into your mind?  Fear that he might be a radical or even a terrorist? Let’s be honest: how many of us see an opportunity to share the Gospel with him or her?  Truth be told many Christians might experience both initial reactions to some extent. Some are even in the category of people who feel nothing because they believe that Christians and Muslims worship the same God.

The relationship and conflict between Biblical Christianity and Islam is a unique one; and there is a systematic attempt to blur the lines between Christianity and Islam, the world’s two largest religions.  Yes, there are a few similarities, but the theological contradictions trump all else. There is a type of “spiritual paralysis” for some Christians when the subject of Islam comes up.

Jesus is revered in the Islamic faith–but is he the same Jesus Christians claim as their Savior?

James K. Walker, president of Watchman Fellowship, takes you through more than a dozen major similarities and differences between the Jesus of the Bible and the Jesus of the Qur’an. You will learn…
how Islam affirms biblical concepts, even though it diverges from Scripture how the Qur’an promotes a deep respect of Jesus, while not identifying Him as a Savior how to cultivate conversational relationships with Muslims, despite your different beliefs and faith backgrounds

James Walker of Watchman Fellowship has written a brand new book contrasting the “Jesus” in the Quran (another Jesus) with the true Jesus of the Bible.  He joins us to draw those distinctions and give some practical advice on how we can share the gospel with Muslims and others who wrongly think both religions worship the same God.

Why Don’t We Share the Gospel More Frequently?

Jesus said, “If you love me you will obey all I command (John 14:15).”  His final command was for His followers to share the gospel and make disciples.  With few exceptions, most of us only talk about God when it is convenient or we ‘feel led’ to do so.  Why are Christians in America not more passionate about sharing the good news with those who are perishing?

Is it shyness? A desire to please man rather than God? Not wanting to offend others? Not wanting to be seen as judgmental?  Are we just too busy?  Or could the deeper reason be that we are afraid of the repercussions like we see happening to our Brothers and Sisters in China, India and around the world?

Jay Seegert of The Starting Point Project joins us to discuss our reasons for not sharing the gospel and how we can overcome our hesitancy and inconsistency.

The War on Truth, Facts and Reason

Truth only comes from God because He knows all things past, present and future, and according to His Word He is incapable of lying.  And if our pursuit of truth has any genesis but God we can easily be deceived.  Today we cover three stories about how facts, reality, and truth is being subjected to man’s opinions and agenda.

We look at the agenda behind the last minute attacks by liberals on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, reiterating our ongoing concerns about movements like “MeToo” being taken too far and used as political weapons to silence opponents of the Liberal Movement.

Then we turn our attention to the professing Christian Church in America, where it seems truth is becoming a more frequent casualty of eloquent, ear-ticking mega-church pastors with their own agenda.  In his apparent quest to create doubt about God’s Word, you will never guess the next attack on the Old Testament being engineered by Andy Stanley.  It seems Stanley is leading to rewriting the gospel to say something like, “Jesus loves you and you are going to heaven so forget about anything God said in the Old Testament… Jesus replaced all the laws.”

Is Biblical Prophecy Being Ignored in the Church?

An estimated 30-40% of the Word of God deals with prophecy:  Prophecy points Old Testament people to the coming of Jesus the Messiah, and indicates how Jesus returns one day to judge all men and establish His everlasting Kingdom.  These are the two most significant events the world will ever experience, so why is Bible Prophecy practically ignored or discounted in more and more churches?

Gary Kah of Hope For the World is a student of biblical prophecy and has researched and written about the coming one world government and religion the Bible says will happen just before the return of the Lord.  We’ll discuss the dangers of ignoring biblical prophecy along with looking at events in the Middle East that might be signalling the fulfillment of prophecy in our lifetime.

Comments Discussed, Questions Answered

Today, Mike and David answer the questions and read the comments from you our listeners.  We discuss the sexual abuse scandal in the Roman Catholic Church, the problem with Christian music blending with entertainment, and the problem with pursuing unity in the body of Christ at any cost – over doctrine and truth.

Here are the topics our listeners want to cover today:

Are you concerned about Hillsong and others that put out some decent music but have some very questionable theological statements and positions.

Where do you draw the line between worship and entertainment. Even Christian music and the church has been compromised lyrically. Is this a result of record labels in Nashville and also wanting to be like the world?

Why do most Catholics seem more loyal to that Church than they do the Word of God?

Is seems the sexual abuse scandal in the Catholic Church is already quite vast as is the cover-up by church leaders, but since over 80% of young abuse victims are boys, the systemic problem seems to be homosexuality. Because of this, the media will not report the whole truth so do you think there will be true repentance and change in the RCC?

My friend thinks you guys are dividing the church instead of uniting Christians over issues of morality and doctrine. I think you guys have said it is wrong to elevate unity as more important than doctrine and truth.

Thank you for the show about public school teaching evolution as fact and how to equip our children with truth, Scripture, and science that affirms Scripture.

What are issues to divide or break fellowship over (within the Christian church) and which are ones we can respectfully agree to disagree on?

When we question the faith of fellow believers, aren’t we judging them? Doesn’t the Bible tell us not to judge?

Corruption, Cover-Up in the Roman Catholic Church

The Onslaught of Darwinism, and Attacks on Franklin Graham

As public education increasingly replaces the truth of God’s Word with the theories of men, students are often subjected to dangerous schools of thought aimed at getting them to conform to a secular worldview. IN order to do this, they must necessarily abandon the biblical worldview. Nothing affirms this better than the way Darwinism is taught as truth rather than theory, even though science continues to confirm the Bible’s account of creation.

Tim Foutz of Ratio Christi Ministries joins us this morning to equip us with the truth to refute Darwinism and evolution, helping us prepare our children for the deception bombarding them in public education.

We also look at the continuing discrimination and persecution of anyone who professes to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. Franklin Graham, scheduled to speak at a rally of 30 Christian Churches in England, is facing fierce opposition from Muslims, government officials in England, and even from some LGBTQ affirming churches calling on the government to revoke his visa to come to England and preach.

UK: Muslims protest Franklin Graham Visit

Many churches in the U.K. go against biblical teachings on sexuality and openly embrace the homosexual lifestyle.

“Three Blackpool churches are to hold services specifically welcoming LGBT worshippers over the weekend of Franklin’s visit, and a four-meter carnival model of Jesus wearing a rainbow sash will be paraded through the town center,” Sherwood noted.

…Liberty Church Pastor Nina Parker and other local churches – which embrace the LGBT community and welcome its members to worship in their sanctuaries – agree that Graham should not be allowed in England.

“[Graham’s presence here would be] extremely destructive [and talk of his coming is] causing division between churches and within churches,” Parker insisted, according to The Guardian.

This pro-LGBT view was echoed by the Methodist Church in the U.K.

“[We] cannot support any preaching or teaching which promotes homophobia or is likely to be damaging to interfaith dialogue,” the Blackpool Methodist Circuit stated, as reported by The Guardian. “[We decline to support the festival] in the light of various comments made by Franklin Graham in the past.”

Jewish Group Says End Times Biblical Prophecy Fulfilled, Flawless ‘Red Heifer’ Could Signal the Third Temple

The Temple Institute has announced the birth of a flawless all-red heifer that could pave the way for the fulfillment of a major End Times biblical prophecy.

The reddish-colored female calf was reportedly born in Israel on August 28 and is being raised in accordance with the Jewish laws of the Torah, according to the Temple Institute.

In Jewish theology, the red heifer is essential to the rebuilding of the third Holy Temple in Jerusalem and will be needed to be sacrificed to complete the ritual of purification for the Temple.

Ordinance of the Red Heifer

Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, 2 “This is the statute of the law which the Lord has commanded, saying, ‘Speak to the sons of Israel that they bring you an unblemished red heifer in which is no defect and on which a yoke has never been placed. 3 You shall give it to Eleazar the priest, and it shall be brought outside the camp and be slaughtered in his presence. Numbers 19:1-3

“The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!”  Hebrews 9:13-14

Battle in the Spiritual Realm

In Ephesians 6, Paul tells us that while people of the world will hate us because we are disciples of Jesus, our battle is not against them. It is against the “spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” We are then warned to put on the full armor of God to wage war against these demonic forces.

In our final segment today, Mike and David look at an article on spiritual warfare from pastor Karl Payne discussing the demonic forces behind the division in our nation and how we should live in this world that hates us more and more.

We also visit with Pastor and best selling author Carl Gallups to continue our discussion from last month on his new, provocative book Gods of Ground Zero. Gallups reveals interesting facts and theories regarding the Garden of Eden, tying it in with actual history as well as biblical prophecy.

Spiritual warfare expert: ‘Demonic component’ to divided U.S.

“We in this country are the anomaly,” Payne said.

“Our (Christian) brethren in Muslim countries who are suffering on a daily basis are saying, ‘I don’t see how you can say you’ve got it hard when you’re socially ostracized and not invited to parties or something. We literally have to be concerned about being killed on a regular basis.’”

Matthew 4:8 and Ephesians chapters 1 and 2 speak of a “world at war against God,” he noted.

Secondly, though, Christians certainly should not invite persecution and, like Paul, avoid it when possible.

The book of Acts recounts Paul appealing to his Roman captors who were about to beat him by citing his Roman citizenship. The apostle argued it was unlawful in that circumstance to beat a Roman citizen. And he later, as a citizen, appealed to Caesar, arguing for the right to a fair trial.

Jesus, Payne noted, sent out his disciples as “sheep among wolves,” to be “harmless as doves” but also “shrewd as serpents.”

“Just because I’m religious doesn’t mean I don’t have rights,” he said.

Hitch Your Faith to the Reliability of the Scriptures

One of the problems with the American church today is a lack of solid foundation built on the Scriptures and on Christ alone. Research from Barna, Pew, and others have backed up the fact that one of our biggest problems is biblical illiteracy. There are many reasons for this including our love of entertainment, but watered-down teachings are certainly a factor as well as the infestation of the cult of liberalism within modern Christianity.

One thing we seem to have lost is our love for the truth of God’s Word, for spiritual things, for Israel, and particularly for the Old Testament. With many mega-church pastors preaching seeker-sensitive sermons and some ignoring or even criticizing the Old Testament, it’s easy to understand part of the reason we are where we are today. We now live in a country where culture has more influence on the church than the church does on culture.

Another reason for a generally weak church is pastors such as Andy Stanley have suggested we “unhitch” from the Old Testament. Some pastors rarely teach from the Old Testament which is a disservice to the body of Christ!

THIS MUST CHANGE.

But how? Let’s start by looking at the evidence from archaeology, history, prophecy, and by reinforcing the inspiration and reliability of the Bible.

Our guest today is pastor and teacher, John Haller. John is known for his prophecy updates, but he has been a trial lawyer for almost 40 years, and lives in Columbus, Ohio. John taught and served as an elder in a church, and also served for 25 years on the board of a Christian college and seminary. In 2013, John and his wife Pam helped start Fellowship Bible Chapel where he is an elder and pastor. His prophecy updates are available on the FBC YouTube channel and are touch on Bible prophecy, discernment, apologetics and worldview issues.

John discusses a recent trip to Israel, some of the sites he visited and their importance in history and prophecy. Here’s a brief rundown from our show notes today:

  • Mamre (the promise to Abraham), Hebron, the Cave of Macpelah (the Tomb of the Patriarchs), Tel Rumeida

  • Shiloh – the tabernacle stood here for almost 400 years after the conquest

  • Tel Dan – Abrahm’s, actually Abram’s first stop in Caanan, reference my teaching on Ezekiel 23 Oholah and Oholibah

  • Shechem – Abraham’s first altar, Jacob’s well, the temple fortress, Joshua (blessings and curses, Joshua’s standing stone)

  • Ai – the conquest

  • Discoveries of the seals of Hezekiah and Isaiah near the Temple Mount

  • The application of Samaria, Hezekiah and Isaiah to prophecy, the coming siege of Jerusalem

REFERENCED

Today, the ruins of biblical Shechem lie between two mountains and next to a church that is built over an ancient well.  These two mountains, Mount Gerizim and Mount Ebal, stand as reminders of the blessings and curses of the Law, and the well refreshingly reminds how God, Himself, fulfilled His Law and poured out His grace.

Ancient Shechem is where Abram (later Abraham) is first mentioned in the Promised Land.

Abram traveled through the land as far as the site of the great tree of Moreh at Shechem.  At that time the Canaanites were in the land.  The LORD appeared to Abram and said, ‘To your offspring I will give this land.’”  (Genesis 12:6-7)

Centuries later, in fulfillment of the Lord’s promise to Abraham and to renew the covenant of the Law of Moses, we see Joshua and the Israelites gathered at Shechem.  “Then Joshua built an altar to the Lord, the God of Israel, on Mount Ebal, 31 just as Moses the servant of the Lordhad commanded the sons of Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses, an altar of uncut stones on which no man had wielded an iron tool; and they offered burnt offerings on it to the Lord, and sacrificed peace offerings.” (Joshua 8:30-31)”  Six tribes stood just south of Shechem in front of Mount Gerizim. The other six tribes to the north of Shechem in front of Mount Ebal.  That day the Israelites listened as Joshua “…read all the words of the law, the blessing and the curse, according to all that is written in the book of the law.” (Joshua 8:34)

SCRIPTURES

32 He [Joshua] wrote there on the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he had written, in the presence of the sons of Israel. 33 All Israel with their elders and officers and their judges were standing on both sides of the ark before the Levitical priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, the stranger as well as the native. Half of them stood in front of Mount Gerizim and half of them in front of Mount Ebal, just as Moses the servant of the Lord had given command at first to bless the people of Israel. 34 Then afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessing and the curse, according to all that is written in the book of the law. 35 There was not a word of all that Moses had commanded which Joshua did not read before all the assembly of Israel with the women and the little ones and the strangers who were living among them. Joshua 8:32-35

Abram passed through the land as far as the site of Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. Now the Canaanite was then in the land. 7 The Lordappeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” So he built an altar there to the Lord who had appeared to him.8 Then he proceeded from there to the mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; and there he built an altar to the Lord and called upon the name of the Lord. Genesis 12:6-8

The record of the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham: Matthew 1:1

Then the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fights on a day of battle. 4 In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south. Zechariah 14: 3-4

And the Lord will be king over all the earth; in that day the Lord will be the only one, and His name the only one. Zech. 14:9
