American citizens turned out in record numbers yesterday for the Midterm election, and we made our choices. The results are a mixed bag for both political parties and in the coming weeks both sides will spin the results to fit their talking points. And the biased media will certainly spin it to their advantage as well. But what significance, if any, do the results have on Christians in our nation? Our mission and purpose does not change, but we'll look at some of the possibilities we may see in the next two years.
The Apostle Paul makes it clear that we are to honor and obey governmental authorities in our lives, as long as their orders do not contradict what the Bible teaches. In America we are blessed because we get to choose our leaders, the "Caesars" we are to submit to. Tomorrow (Tuesday) Americans will elect our government leaders for the next two years, and their motives for voting will be worldly. But as Christians, we are held to a higher standard. We should be electing leaders whose values and beliefs most align with God's Word on moral and spiritual issues like abortion, marriage, family, freedom, sexuality and gender. Our religious freedoms to openly profess and share our convictions continue to be on the line depending the outcome of this election.
Radical Progressives have made it clear that Christians are to be seen but not heard. In our final segments, we look at news stories that show just how intense the pressure is becoming on Christians to withdraw from the public arena. But first we check in with Julaine Appling of Wisconsin Family Council to discuss the choices Christians face in this election. Please note and share the vast contrast in the major political party platforms! Also, notice each of the following nets stories reflect the increasing hostility toward Christians, the Bible.
Jesus said, “If you love me you will obey all I command (John 14:15).” His final command was for His followers to share the gospel and make disciples. With few exceptions, most of us only talk about God when it is convenient or we ‘feel led’ to do so. Why are Christians in America not more passionate about sharing the good news with those who are perishing?
Is it shyness? A desire to please man rather than God? Not wanting to offend others? Not wanting to be seen as judgmental? Are we just too busy? Or could the deeper reason be that we are afraid of the repercussions like we see happening to our Brothers and Sisters in China, India and around the world?
Jay Seegert of The Starting Point Project joins us to discuss our reasons for not sharing the gospel and how we can overcome our hesitancy and inconsistency.
Watch television for any length of time and you are sure to see ads for new medications promising to make your life better. And while many of these drugs have dangerous side effects, the Pharmaceutical Industry continues to make billions of dollars peddling the latest “cure” for the latest problems of life. Anti-depression medications have saturated the market and record numbers of American children are now being medicated for ADHD. Today, Mike and David discuss the dangers of over-medication and the long term effects on mental health.
On a related subject we look at two interesting, yet very sad articles that are becoming all too common in these days. First, the number of young girls struggling with “gender identity” is skyrocketing; and second, a professor in Sweden is under attack for stating something so obvious that only a fool would argue that he is wrong. Is there a connection between over medication and the intellectual insanity permeating every aspect of society?
According to a report, there has been a dramatic rise in children misusing and overdosing on ADHD medications. I happened to see that report a day after I read another study revealing an increased risk for obesity and diabetes in kids who take ADHD meds. This is not to be confused with the recent research showing that ADHD drugs could be linked to brittle bones. These must all be added, of course, to the cacophony of already known side effects, including insomnia, irritability, decreased appetite, depression, and suicidal thoughts.
Maybe this is why a majority of kids diagnosed with ADHD wind up developing other mental illnesses as they grow older. Pharmaceutical companies cite that latter detail as proof of the biological basis of ADHD. I think it is much easier to see it as proof of the pharmacological basis for the mysterious rise in mental illnesses across America. Drug companies and the psychiatric industry have so far gotten almost 20 percent of the country onto psychiatric drugs. Many of these drugs cause suicidal thoughts, anxiety, and depression. Meanwhile, a lot of Americans are having suicidal thoughts, anxiety, and depression. One need not be a detective to notice a potential causal relationship here.
The Economist recently reported a flood of adolescent girls seeking treatment for gender dysphoria over the last eight years. In 2009, less than half—41 percent—of teens walking through the doors of gender clinics in the U.K. were female. But by 2017, that number jumped to almost 70 percent.
Now, if gender dysphoria—feeling yourself to be the opposite gender from your biological sex—were actually something innate to the human condition as trans activists claim, we’d expect these numbers to remain consistent and roughly balanced between boys and girls. But they’re not.
A student has reluctantly sued her school in Wisconsin after officials told her she could not hand out valentines with Bible verses on them.
Polly Olsen has handed out valentines on Northeast Wisconsin Technical College’s campus for years to share her Christian faith. But WBAY TV reports that campus security apprehended her this Valentine’s Day, telling her she was outside approved speech zones without prior permission.
Chelsea Clinton continued her public opposition to Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh last week, this time saying that rolling back abortion rights would be “unconscionable” and “unchristian.”
…“That’s unconscionable to me, and also, and I’m sure that this will unleash another wave of hate in my direction, but as a deeply religious person, it’s also unchristian to me.”
Clinton’s “wave of hate” comments refer to the backlash she recently faced after advocating an economic argument for abortion. She told a crowd at a “Rise up for Roe” event in New York that women entering the workforce because they have access to abortion likely added 3.5 trillion dollars to the economy.
In Ephesians 6, Paul tells us that while people of the world will hate us because we are disciples of Jesus, our battle is not against them. It is against the “spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” We are then warned to put on the full armor of God to wage war against these demonic forces.
In our final segment today, Mike and David look at an article on spiritual warfare from pastor Karl Payne discussing the demonic forces behind the division in our nation and how we should live in this world that hates us more and more.
We also visit with Pastor and best selling author Carl Gallups to continue our discussion from last month on his new, provocative book Gods of Ground Zero. Gallups reveals interesting facts and theories regarding the Garden of Eden, tying it in with actual history as well as biblical prophecy.
“We in this country are the anomaly,” Payne said.
“Our (Christian) brethren in Muslim countries who are suffering on a daily basis are saying, ‘I don’t see how you can say you’ve got it hard when you’re socially ostracized and not invited to parties or something. We literally have to be concerned about being killed on a regular basis.’”
Matthew 4:8 and Ephesians chapters 1 and 2 speak of a “world at war against God,” he noted.
Secondly, though, Christians certainly should not invite persecution and, like Paul, avoid it when possible.
The book of Acts recounts Paul appealing to his Roman captors who were about to beat him by citing his Roman citizenship. The apostle argued it was unlawful in that circumstance to beat a Roman citizen. And he later, as a citizen, appealed to Caesar, arguing for the right to a fair trial.
Jesus, Payne noted, sent out his disciples as “sheep among wolves,” to be “harmless as doves” but also “shrewd as serpents.”
“Just because I’m religious doesn’t mean I don’t have rights,” he said.
If you are naive enough to think that simply because the Supreme Court gave a narrow victory to cake baker Jack Phillips earlier this year means our religious freedoms are secure – you’re living in a fantasy world. Do not underestimate the intolerance and vile hatred of the radical left as well as the LGBTQ movement toward God and Christianity.
The ink was barely wet on the Supreme Court decision favoring Philips, and now he is back in court accused of a similar “crime” in the minds of the Colorado Civil Rights Commission. This time, a man claiming to be a woman filed a lawsuit against the Christian baker. The Colorado Commission will this time claim they are sensitive to Phillips’ religious beliefs, but that this type of “discrimination” just cannot be tolerated. Mike and David will look at the complaint in detail to help you understand how Christians are being set up for badgering and intimidation, all in the hopes of shutting us up.
In our first segment, Mike and David discuss church security with retired Police Office, Joel Benson, who has a passion to equip churches to protect their members when they assemble to worship God.
Shared: “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves. 17 But beware of men, for they will hand you over to the courts and scourge you in their synagogues; 18 and you will even be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. 19 But when they hand you over, do not worry about how or what you are to say; for it will be given you in that hour what you are to say. 20 For it is not you who speak, but it is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.Matthew 10:16-20
Today Mike and David discuss a provocative and compelling article by Shane Idleman that challenges pastors to stop imitating the world and return to the fundamentals of being a pastor: Teaching the complete Word of God, challenging the flock assigned to them to grow in holiness, and to quit worrying about offending members of their church. Idleman makes an interesting observation in his article: that at a time when “unity” is the buzz word in many churches perhaps it is time for a little separation to divide true born-again believers from the goats.
In our first segment, Mike and David talk with a Messianic Jew who has committed his life to reaching Jews with the truth and gospel of Jesus Christ. We will discuss why most Jews reject Jesus as messiah and how we can share the truth of the gospel with them.
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”— 14 in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14
So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls. 42 They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles. 44 And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; 45 and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need. 46 Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved. Acts 2:41-47
But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. 2 Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; 2 Peter 2:1-2
The pulpit regulates the spiritual condition of God’s people which affects the nation. A lukewarm, sex-saturated culture (and church) simply reflects the lack of conviction in the pulpit as well as the pew. Pastors, and Christian leaders alike, must take responsibility for the spiritual health of today’s church, and the nation. We don’t need more marketing plans, demographic studies, or giving campaigns; we need men filled with the Spirit of God.
This is not a letter of rebuke (I’m in no position to do that) – it’s a tear stained plea that we once again seek the heart of God. Here are five issues we need to overcome…
One definition of insanity you sometimes hear is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. But another definition could be “a refusal to accept reality.” No matter what facts or truth is presented, the person refuses to accept them and continues to insist he is right even despite irrefutable evidence. This seems to define radical liberalism in our nation.
The evidence supporting life is clear in God’s Word and true science with each passing year proves life begins much earlier than previously thought. And on the issue of “gender dysphoria,” science continues to confirm the truth given to us in God’s Word: gender is assigned at conception and there is nothing man can do to change that.
No amount of truth seems sufficient for far left liberals bent on enforcing their agenda of godlessness. Today we look at a few more stories about radical views and arguments disconnected from truth and reality. We check in with Julaine Appling of Wisconsin Family Council.
In the book of Revelation, (The Revelation of Jesus Christ), chapters 2 and 3 focus on some of the good deeds of early believers as well as important warnings Jesus gives to seven churches in the area. While Scripture contains some encouragement for each church, Jesus also includes serious warnings of necessary repentance. John details how some of the churches were falling for apostasy and mentioned persecution for those remaining faithful.
Were these letters solely for those specific early churches? Do the warnings of Jesus apply to us in any way and do they contain warnings for today’s church? Let’s take a quick look at what Jesus said and what John wrote. You’ll likely find it very relevant to our churches today and may even notice some striking parallels to America. There is a clear call to repent and return to the things of God, including urgency about the times and passion for truth.
REVELATION, CHAPTERS 2 & 3
MESSAGE TO EPHESUS
‘I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them to be false; 3 and you have perseverance and have endured for My name’s sake, and have not grown weary. 4 But I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5 Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place—unless you repent. (Rev 2:2-5)
MESSAGE TO SMYRNA
‘I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy by those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. 11 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt by the second death.’ (Rev. 2:9-11)
MESSAGE TO PERGAMUM
‘I know where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is; and you hold fast My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days of Antipas, My witness, My faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. 14 But I have a few things against you, because you have there some who hold the teaching of Balaam, who kept teaching Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit acts of immorality. (Rev. 2:13-14)
MESSAGE TO THYATIRA
‘I know your deeds, and your love and faith and service and perseverance, and that your deeds of late are greater than at first. 20 But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. 21 I gave her time to repent, and she does not want to repent of her immorality. … Nevertheless what you have, hold fast until I come. 26 He who overcomes, and he who keeps My deeds until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations; (Rev. 2:19-21, 25-26)
MESSAGE TO SARDIS
He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars, says this: ‘I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die; for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God. 3 So remember what you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent. Therefore if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you. 4 But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy… (Rev. 3:1-4)
MESSAGE TO PHILADELPHIA
‘I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name. 9 Behold, I will cause those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—I will make them come and bow down at your feet, and make them know that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. (Rev. 3:8-10)
MESSAGE TO LAODICEA (AMERICAN CHURCH?)
‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. 16 So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, 18 I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. 19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. (Rev. 3:15-20)
The church established by Jesus Christ through the apostles will never be defeated. That church is comprised of committed believers and disciples around the world. But what we have come to call “church” here in America—a place of worship rather than the people who worship—is coming under a variety of attacks from various sources.
Satan is using institutions like media, public education, Hollywood, and government to conform public opinion to the values of the Left, and to bully and pressure the church into compliance or silence. The enemy is also using our own personal pride by appealing to our flesh to get us to believe that what we think or feel is on a par with what God says in His Word.
John Loeffler of Steel on Steel Radio has been a Watchman on the Wall for several decades, warning Christians about direct as well as subtle attacks of the enemy against the church. John joins us to look at the growing division in our nation and church, and how we can guard our hearts and our thought process against this deception.
ARTICLES (COVERED IN SEGMENT 3)
One of the easiest ways to get someone mad at you these days is to proclaim something like “I believe the Bible is the Word of God and Jesus is the truth.” The reaction you receive will vary from a look of pity because you are “ignorant” to an angry or defensive response because they see you as a narrow-minded, homophobic bigot. And while American Christians still enjoy religious freedoms for the most part, many around the world do not. Make no mistake: the left is out to strip you of those freedoms any way they can; and they will stop at nothing until you are badgered, bullied or intimidated into silence.
This morning we look at how social media and the legal system is trying to silence Christians.
In our first segment, Mike and David talk with Attorney and professor, Mark Maxwell, a Christian in the entertainment industry who has written a new book that questions the effectiveness and morality of networking for success.

As we live a life of comfort, safety, and so many blessings we take for granted here in America, we need to be reminded that the USA is not the center of the universe. Around the world, there are thousands of Christians dedicated to missionary work and spreading the gospel to every tribe, tongue and nation. And in too many countries, our brothers and sisters face discrimination, imprisonment and even death. Our responsibility as Christians is to pray for them and support them as God leads us.
Today we are joined by Dave Bell, who along with his wife Jen, have been missionaries to Kenya for more than a decade. (MPM Kenya on the web) The Bells founded Mahali pa Maisha, an infant rescue center that helps care for and locate Christian families to adopt orphaned babies.
Dave joins us to talk about the work God has them doing and the obstacles they face in sharing the gospel and the hope of Jesus Christ in poor nations. We will also share a few news stories of Christians in Africa, North Korea, India, and China being persecuted for their faith in Christ.
Tonight in Neenah, WI: Ice Cream Social to benefit Dave and Jenn Bell, ‘Mahali pa Maisha’ – an infant rescue center in Kenya. 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. Schlidt Park, 1780 Cold Spring Road, Neenah WI 54956
It is easy to pursue comfort, leisure, luxury and peace in part by living in our own little bubbles, impervious to all that is happening around us. Newsflash: the nation as well as the church in America are divided. Biblical illiteracy is rampant and true history has been rewritten, but on the surface things are good for most Americans.
Aside from the national debt, the economy is generally stable with historically low unemployment and increasing jobs every month. But under the surface things are volatile and becoming more contentious by the day. Because political disagreement has been replaced with vicious hate and personal attacks, many fear our nation may be on the brink of a second civil war. The Far Left is committed to globalism and are beside themselves as President Trump continues to push his “America First” platform which includes appointing pro-life judges that might threaten the legal murder of innocent children.
Behind the scenes, elites and the establishment continue to work on the foundation of a one world government where God is dismissed and mankind elevates itself. Today we discuss the Deep State, transhumanism, end times prophecy, and a recent survey showing over 60 percent of 18-36 year-old Americans favor socialism; much higher than previous polls.
Gary Kah of Hope For the World has researched and written about the coming one world government for thirty years and joins us this morning to take a look behind the curtain at the systematic move to globalism.
The Deep State – Article by Gary Kah
As we come off the celebration of our nation’s independence, we realize how precious our freedoms are and how easily we take them for granted. We also know how close we might be to losing them. Freedom of speech is under attack by overzealous liberal, politically-correct crowd, and the hatred of Christians is rearing its ugly head right here in the land of the free.
This morning we look at a few stories on how our freedoms are being challenged, and the tactics those on the left are using to silence Christians. It is a multi-faceted attack including the use of words and accusation, attacks that should be taken seriously by believers.
We touch on the battle over nominations for Supreme Court Justice, and also do a follow-up report on the resignation of Bill Hybels of Willow Creek Church and examine details about how the most powerful pastor in America was forced to resign.
Elders of Willow Creek Community Church in Illinois have now admitted that founder and former senior pastor Bill Hybels “entered into sin,” adding that they should have believed the women who made sexual misconduct accusations against him earlier this year.
“We apologize and ask for forgiveness that the tone of our initial response was not one of humility and deep concern for all the women involved. It takes courage for a woman to step forward and share her story,” the elders of the evangelical megachurch wrote in a statement published on Saturday.
“We are grieved that we let Bill’s statement stand for as long as we did that the women were lying and colluding. We now believe Bill entered into areas of sin related to the allegations that have been brought forth.”
Millions of Americans will take a day off from work tomorrow to gather with family and friends; to cook out, relax and attend fireworks displays. Let’s not forget millions of others have given their lives over the past two hundred and forty-two years so that we might enjoy the blessings of freedom in a Republic once established under God. Most importantly, remember to take the time to thank our Creator for the freedoms we enjoy under the Constitution that was established.
Sadly however, this time of celebration is tempered by real threats to our freedom of speech as we see hateful rhetoric ramping up due in part to liberal activists and radicals who hate Christ, the truth, and what America represents.
Elijah Abraham has lived in Iraq under an oppressive dictatorship. He is well aware of the threats posed to our freedoms by our own government, media, universities, celebrities, and hired protestors as well as radicalized Muslims. Progressives are pushing their globalist agenda including banning expressions of the Christian faith, strict gun control, and open borders. Elijah joins us to help us understand the delicate balance of freedom and responsibility – not only as Americans, but as disciples of Jesus Christ.
The unbridled, uncivil passion of the radical left to push their worldview and indoctrinate our children is starting to reap devastating results. Recent studies show a rapid increase in destructive behaviors among teens who are embracing the LGBTQ propaganda, and some of the decisions they are making will have lifelong negative effects. Ideas have consequences.
Linda Harvey of Mission America joins us to discuss these dangerous trends and how we can combat them with truth, love, facts, and respectful disagreement.
We also look at the story of President Trump’s Press Secretary, Sarah Sanders, being kicked out of a Virginia restaurant she hoped to dine in because her mere presence was causing LGBTQ restaurant employees to trigger. We’re not making this up! Apparently, it may be the new battle front of the Left.
America is doing a terrific job of pushing homosexuality in schools, and as a result, more of our kids are engaging in this behavior and adopting the identity.
A major Centers for Disease Control (CDC) study provides the gruesome stats.
This disastrous news should be major media headlines. A few progressives are happy, I’m sure, along with radical homosexual groups like GLSEN as well as the corrupt teachers’ unions, the NEA and others.
But for most of us, the CDC Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) paints a grim picture with dire consequences for the long-term well-being of our nation’s youth.
In 2017, almost 15% (14.6%) of teens labeled themselves “gay, lesbian, bisexual or unsure.” In 2015, that figure was 11.2%.
And heterosexual students were much less likely (39.1%) to have had sexual intercourse (Table 133). Homosexual, bisexual and questioning students answered yes much more often– 76.8%.
Schools and parents should recall these results when considering pro-homosexual lessons or “comprehensive sex education” (CSE) curricula that normalize anal, oral and vaginal sex for adolescents.
The evidence shows many teens are experimenting with these behaviors. Unfortunately, the dire outcomes—teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease—are not the topics of questions in the YRBS.
The Lord’s calendar is pretty full most of the time, but still He’s able to hear millions of prayers, lengthy petitions, meet those who are in despair, and hear joyous songs of praise, every hour of every day. So He’s probably puzzled why He has not received an invitation to the Revoice Conference. Revoice claims to be a “welcoming” conference for “celibate” people in the “LGBT community.”
But shouldn’t we ‘identify’ with Jesus Christ first and foremost, rather than identify with a sin or group?
There will always be conspiracy theories. Back in the 1960s there was talk of a “shadow government” that really set the agenda and pulled the strings of government officials, doing the bidding of power hungry globalists. Those theories were widely dismissed.
But is the ‘Shadow Government” a reality, and if so, what would it mean for Christians in America? Could it threaten our freedom to worship God and share His Word? Could it one day force us to worship government instead of God, like in Marxist nations?
Author and Pastor Carl Gallups joins us to share his research and thoughts. We also discuss the historic Summit where President Trump met with North Korea’s Kim Jong Un. Plus, we touch on the strange journey of Pastor Andy Stanley, who has said increasingly provocative things about the Bible over the past couple years. Has Stanley left the camp of solid Evangelical Christianity?
You would be hard pressed to remember a time when world leaders faced such a series of important decisions that could lead to world wide war or calamity. Here are just a few things to consider: increased attacks against Israel by Hamas, an Iranian regime developing nuclear weapons; Russia is entrenched in Syria with an eye on Israel; Islam is sweeping across Europe and Asia; and Western nations are arguing about trade and tariffs which could lead to economic turmoil.
All of this is set against the background of Bible prophecy and is happening at a time when the ‘professing’ Christian Church in America and Europe seems to be floundering due in part to apathy, heresy, and an ecumenical movement that puts unity and peace above truth.
This week, a crucial summit is taking place between President Trump and North Korea’s Kim Jong Un spurred on by the president’s tough rhetoric against North Korea. Without God’s word as our anchor of hope, we could easily get depressed. But His word is truth and His promises everlasting. Gary Kah of Hope For the World has studied and written about the coming one world government and religion, and joins us to put all this into proper context and perspective.
Jack Phillips was victorious in his argument in front of the Supreme Court and we praise God for the outcome. But this morning we will examine how the Court stopped far short of assuring Christians that their religious conscience would be protected. There are some warning signs that Monday’s victory, while important to Phillips, might not be significant in the big picture. The battle was not won Monday; In fact, the ruling may have signaled SCOTUS is not prepared to guarantee people freedom of religious conscience that their rights will be protected.
In our first segment, we are joined by Tina Marie Griffin, “Counter Culture Mom” to look at challenges parents face in raising their children morally in the face of Hollywood, media, secular music, video games, and apps.
Jack Phillips, the Colorado cake baker, won his appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court yesterday in a 7-2 ruling some are calling “narrow.” Phillips was fined and nearly put out of business by the State of Colorado for refusing to use his artistic abilities to produce a wedding cake for a homosexual couple. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in his favor and chastised the State of Colorado for its mocking of his Christian faith.
But was this a “landmark” decision that will have long term impact or a limited ruling that leaves more questions than answers? We’ll discuss this with Dave Wager of Nicolet Bible Institute and Silver Birch Ranch. We will also talk about things that differentiate true Christians from the world – including how we handle life’s trials and troubles.
