Have you ever thought about how you would react if suddenly you or your family were threatened, demanding you to deny your allegiance to Jesus Christ? And if you’re thinking to yourself, “I would never do that, no matter what,” remember the Apostle Peter said the same thing – and then cowered.
Today, Mike and David talk with a man who was confronted with that horror. Bishop Pervaiz Joseph, a Christian leader from Pakistan who had a good relationship with government leaders there. He was able to share the gospel freely until he was falsely accused of a crime, kidnapped, tortured, and his family was forced to flee to Sri Lanka and eventually to the U.S. His story became known by Voice of the Martyrs.
He started Bishop Joseph Ministries International in December 2016, a non-profit organization, working with people around the globe uplifting communities and spreading a message of Hope, Peace and Love. Joseph, along with his family moved to the United States of America after facing religious persecution in his homeland and stayed in exile for a little over four years. They now run a local Church in affiliation with the Foursquare Missions and connect, build and uplift communities around the world by organizing mission trips, conferences and seminars within various states and worldwide.
In our final segment, we look at a chilling commentary on how youth are being brainwashed and indoctrinated into socialism and atheism by social media giants like Google, Facebook and Twitter.
Family fleeing persecution in Pakistan finds new home in Rapid City
In the quiet oasis of a Rapid City church, Pervaiz Joseph on Tuesday calmly spoke of a cell, thousands of miles away, where kidnappers once tortured him for his Christian faith.
An evangelical Bishop from Pakistan, Joseph, 47, has been living in Rapid City with his wife, son, and daughter for a little more than a month. They are here because their home country has become too dangerous for them.
After years of living as refugees in Sri Lanka with their paperwork hanging in limbo, the family has successfully received asylum in the United States thanks to help from the office of U.S. Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., and Pastor Kelli Patterson of Restored Life Outreach Fellowship church in Rapid City.
…[2016 was] the first year in his entire life that Joseph had been able to openly celebrate Christmas. The family decorated the exterior of their new home with strings of lights, something they would never have done in Pakistan.
A Day in the Life of a Christian pastor in Pakistan – Front Page Mag
Joseph: “In Pakistan, when someone is condemned by the Blasphemy Law, the militants do not wait for the court to take action; they decide themselves whether they want to kill the person or not… Muslim militants falsely accuse innocent Christians in charge of 295 C(Pakistan’s Blasphemy Law) sometimes to take revenge; to occupy their land/ property; to show that they are more powerful; to earn more money; to become popular among the native people; and to degrade and discriminate minorities.
They made visits to the Bishop’s Council finding me there; they said they would cut me into pieces and distribute my body parts among the Christian clergymen. Then I was called by one of the Bishops. He warned me of the situation. And many others warned me that militants wanted to burn and kill me and my family. All this harassment and blackmail caused me to go into hiding. I went into hiding because I could not make any public appearance or do ministry. Neither did my children have the freedom to go out anywhere.
SEGMENT 2 & 3
Deconstructing Young Minds – Robert Knight
A major problem for those trying to counter cultural Marxism is the leftward tilt of social media. Facebook and Twitter, plus Google and Vimeo, have been caught suppressing conservative viewpoints and boosting progressive posts and videos.
In January 2018, undercover video sting artist James O’Keefe caught several Twitter engineers explaining how conservative viewpoints are “shadow banned.”
“The idea of a shadow ban is that you ban someone but they don’t know they’ve been banned, because they keep posting and no one sees their content,” one explained. “So, they just think that no one is engaging with their content, when in reality, no one is seeing it.”
Another engineer noted that because they were in liberal California, there were “unwritten rules” to suppress conservative content
William J. Federer explains, animus toward their own country and free market capitalism among many younger Americans – even Christians – is no accident but the result of a conditioning process that begins in the elementary and secondary schools and goes into overdrive in universities.
“There is actually a socialist-communist tactic called ‘deconstruction,’ where you separate a people from their past, get them into a neutral position where they do not remember where they came from, then you can easily brainwash them into whatever future you have planned for them…
Next, the intolerant Southern Poverty Law Center is at it again, labeling Christian ministries as “hate groups.”
