Is Biblical Prophecy Being Ignored in the Church?

An estimated 30-40% of the Word of God deals with prophecy:  Prophecy points Old Testament people to the coming of Jesus the Messiah, and indicates how Jesus returns one day to judge all men and establish His everlasting Kingdom.  These are the two most significant events the world will ever experience, so why is Bible Prophecy practically ignored or discounted in more and more churches?

Gary Kah of Hope For the World is a student of biblical prophecy and has researched and written about the coming one world government and religion the Bible says will happen just before the return of the Lord.  We’ll discuss the dangers of ignoring biblical prophecy along with looking at events in the Middle East that might be signalling the fulfillment of prophecy in our lifetime.

15 Biblical People You Need to Know

Mike and David welcome back to the program, Pastor Randy White, as he shares some fascinating insights about people in the Bible that we may not be aware of. By the way, the list of 15 people we need to know includes saints, sinners, judges, a prostitute, and the world’s first humanist and advocate for a one world government. Check out the podcast!

Segment 3: In their passion to block another conservative Supreme Court Justice who is pro-life, Senate Democrats brought in a female Methodist Church pastor to testify against Judge Brett Kavanaugh. It is understandable that Americans are divided on Supreme Court nominees, but Christians should not be. It is heresy to claim Jesus would support a woman’s right to abort her child because, “Jesus would advocate for a just society that allows people to live their lives to the fullest.” Apparently that advocacy does not apply to the life of the child hanging in the balance in a mother’s womb. And of course her opinion is backed up by twisting the words of Jesus to say something that was not intended at all.

Jesus Would Support Abortion-Causing Devices, Pastor Tells Senate

Alicia Baker, a Free Methodist Church pastor from Indiana, urged the Senate Judiciary Committee to block the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court in part due to a dissenting opinion he wrote in 2015. In that opinion, Kavanaugh asserted that he would grant exemptions to religious organizations in Obamacare and allow them to decline coverage of drugs and devices that can cause abortions post-fertilization.

Baker stated:

“Jesus directs us to advocate for a just society that allows people to live their lives to the fullest; In John 10:10, Jesus says, ‘I have come that you might have life, and have it to the full.’ In this passage, Jesus is not referring merely to personal salvation; He also intends for us to seek justice for the poor and the oppressed here on Earth. …“And this means,” Baker added, “supporting access to affordable birth control, because by permitting individuals to plan if, whether, and when to become pregnant, birth control allows us to live our fullest lives.”

Wow. This is one reason Christians are confused about the issue of abortion. Lots of pastors and church leaders either do not at all mention abortion or they justify it under the guise of women’s health and privacy. I’ve even heard the ridiculous wording, “reproductive justice.” This woman is yet another imposter who is not accurately handling the word of God. (2 Tim. 2:15)

Battle in the Spiritual Realm

In Ephesians 6, Paul tells us that while people of the world will hate us because we are disciples of Jesus, our battle is not against them. It is against the “spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” We are then warned to put on the full armor of God to wage war against these demonic forces.

In our final segment today, Mike and David look at an article on spiritual warfare from pastor Karl Payne discussing the demonic forces behind the division in our nation and how we should live in this world that hates us more and more.

We also visit with Pastor and best selling author Carl Gallups to continue our discussion from last month on his new, provocative book Gods of Ground Zero. Gallups reveals interesting facts and theories regarding the Garden of Eden, tying it in with actual history as well as biblical prophecy.

Spiritual warfare expert: ‘Demonic component’ to divided U.S.

“We in this country are the anomaly,” Payne said.

“Our (Christian) brethren in Muslim countries who are suffering on a daily basis are saying, ‘I don’t see how you can say you’ve got it hard when you’re socially ostracized and not invited to parties or something. We literally have to be concerned about being killed on a regular basis.’”

Matthew 4:8 and Ephesians chapters 1 and 2 speak of a “world at war against God,” he noted.

Secondly, though, Christians certainly should not invite persecution and, like Paul, avoid it when possible.

The book of Acts recounts Paul appealing to his Roman captors who were about to beat him by citing his Roman citizenship. The apostle argued it was unlawful in that circumstance to beat a Roman citizen. And he later, as a citizen, appealed to Caesar, arguing for the right to a fair trial.

Jesus, Payne noted, sent out his disciples as “sheep among wolves,” to be “harmless as doves” but also “shrewd as serpents.”

“Just because I’m religious doesn’t mean I don’t have rights,” he said.

Hitch Your Faith to the Reliability of the Scriptures

One of the problems with the American church today is a lack of solid foundation built on the Scriptures and on Christ alone. Research from Barna, Pew, and others have backed up the fact that one of our biggest problems is biblical illiteracy. There are many reasons for this including our love of entertainment, but watered-down teachings are certainly a factor as well as the infestation of the cult of liberalism within modern Christianity.

One thing we seem to have lost is our love for the truth of God’s Word, for spiritual things, for Israel, and particularly for the Old Testament. With many mega-church pastors preaching seeker-sensitive sermons and some ignoring or even criticizing the Old Testament, it’s easy to understand part of the reason we are where we are today. We now live in a country where culture has more influence on the church than the church does on culture.

Another reason for a generally weak church is pastors such as Andy Stanley have suggested we “unhitch” from the Old Testament. Some pastors rarely teach from the Old Testament which is a disservice to the body of Christ!

THIS MUST CHANGE.

But how? Let’s start by looking at the evidence from archaeology, history, prophecy, and by reinforcing the inspiration and reliability of the Bible.

Our guest today is pastor and teacher, John Haller. John is known for his prophecy updates, but he has been a trial lawyer for almost 40 years, and lives in Columbus, Ohio. John taught and served as an elder in a church, and also served for 25 years on the board of a Christian college and seminary. In 2013, John and his wife Pam helped start Fellowship Bible Chapel where he is an elder and pastor. His prophecy updates are available on the FBC YouTube channel and are touch on Bible prophecy, discernment, apologetics and worldview issues.

John discusses a recent trip to Israel, some of the sites he visited and their importance in history and prophecy. Here’s a brief rundown from our show notes today:

  • Mamre (the promise to Abraham), Hebron, the Cave of Macpelah (the Tomb of the Patriarchs), Tel Rumeida

  • Shiloh – the tabernacle stood here for almost 400 years after the conquest

  • Tel Dan – Abrahm’s, actually Abram’s first stop in Caanan, reference my teaching on Ezekiel 23 Oholah and Oholibah

  • Shechem – Abraham’s first altar, Jacob’s well, the temple fortress, Joshua (blessings and curses, Joshua’s standing stone)

  • Ai – the conquest

  • Discoveries of the seals of Hezekiah and Isaiah near the Temple Mount

  • The application of Samaria, Hezekiah and Isaiah to prophecy, the coming siege of Jerusalem

REFERENCED

Today, the ruins of biblical Shechem lie between two mountains and next to a church that is built over an ancient well.  These two mountains, Mount Gerizim and Mount Ebal, stand as reminders of the blessings and curses of the Law, and the well refreshingly reminds how God, Himself, fulfilled His Law and poured out His grace.

Ancient Shechem is where Abram (later Abraham) is first mentioned in the Promised Land.

Abram traveled through the land as far as the site of the great tree of Moreh at Shechem.  At that time the Canaanites were in the land.  The LORD appeared to Abram and said, ‘To your offspring I will give this land.’”  (Genesis 12:6-7)

Centuries later, in fulfillment of the Lord’s promise to Abraham and to renew the covenant of the Law of Moses, we see Joshua and the Israelites gathered at Shechem.  “Then Joshua built an altar to the Lord, the God of Israel, on Mount Ebal, 31 just as Moses the servant of the Lordhad commanded the sons of Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses, an altar of uncut stones on which no man had wielded an iron tool; and they offered burnt offerings on it to the Lord, and sacrificed peace offerings.” (Joshua 8:30-31)”  Six tribes stood just south of Shechem in front of Mount Gerizim. The other six tribes to the north of Shechem in front of Mount Ebal.  That day the Israelites listened as Joshua “…read all the words of the law, the blessing and the curse, according to all that is written in the book of the law.” (Joshua 8:34)

SCRIPTURES

32 He [Joshua] wrote there on the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he had written, in the presence of the sons of Israel. 33 All Israel with their elders and officers and their judges were standing on both sides of the ark before the Levitical priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, the stranger as well as the native. Half of them stood in front of Mount Gerizim and half of them in front of Mount Ebal, just as Moses the servant of the Lord had given command at first to bless the people of Israel. 34 Then afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessing and the curse, according to all that is written in the book of the law. 35 There was not a word of all that Moses had commanded which Joshua did not read before all the assembly of Israel with the women and the little ones and the strangers who were living among them. Joshua 8:32-35

Abram passed through the land as far as the site of Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. Now the Canaanite was then in the land. 7 The Lordappeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” So he built an altar there to the Lord who had appeared to him.8 Then he proceeded from there to the mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; and there he built an altar to the Lord and called upon the name of the Lord. Genesis 12:6-8

The record of the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham: Matthew 1:1

Then the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fights on a day of battle. 4 In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south. Zechariah 14: 3-4

And the Lord will be king over all the earth; in that day the Lord will be the only one, and His name the only one. Zech. 14:9

Is Middle East War Knocking on the Door?

When we take our eyes off Israel and the Middle East, we tread on dangerous ground.  The Bible tells us the final days before Jesus’ return will find Israel and The Middle East front and center.  And a lot is happening there these days that the secular media is choosing to downplay, misrepresent, or ignore completely.

In Ezekiel, God says he will drag Israel’s enemies toward her to set off a great conflict, ushering in the final days.  And today we see Russia and China increasing its might and influence in the Middle East.  And we see increasingly powerful enemies like Turkey and Iran stirring up trouble against Israel.

Gary Kah of Hope For the World has studied and written about the coming One World Government and religion, and studied biblical prophecy for decades.  He joins us this morning for an important update and reminder for Christians to be about the Father’s work in these uncertain times.

Corruption, Cover-Up in Catholic Church

Refuting the Deceptions of Islam

Human nature is such that if a lie is repeated often enough people will believe it if they are not grounded in the truth of God and His Word.  We have witnessed this in the areas of abortion and acceptance of homosexuality within our culture and even in many professing Christian churches.  A vast majority of Americans used to oppose these issues, but now over time many people – even Christians – have caved to culture and generally accept both practices.

The same appears to be happening with Islam.  Deceivers and those they have deceived keep repeating lies about Islam and an increasing number of Americans jumped on board.  Even in the Christian Church an increasing number of pastors and church members think Islam is an “Abrahamic faith” and that Muslims and Christians worship the same god. But the Quran and other Islamic “holy books” contradict these ideas.  And certainly, anyone familiar with the Bible knows that Allah of the Quran is clearly not the God of the Bible.

What other deceptions about Islam are people accepting today as truth? Elijah Abraham, a former Muslim and now born-again believer joins us to discuss the issues.  Elijah travels around the world equipping and teaching pastors about Islam and how to reach Muslims with the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

A Strong Warning to the Churches

In the book of Revelation, (The Revelation of Jesus Christ), chapters 2 and 3 focus on some of the good deeds of early believers as well as important warnings Jesus gives to seven churches in the area.  While Scripture contains some encouragement for each church, Jesus also includes serious warnings of necessary repentance. John details how some of the churches were falling for apostasy and mentioned persecution for those remaining faithful.

Were these letters solely for those specific early churches?  Do the warnings of Jesus apply to us in any way and do they contain warnings for today’s church?  Let’s take a quick look at what Jesus said and what John wrote. You’ll likely find it very relevant to our churches today and may even notice some striking parallels to America. There is a clear call to repent and return to the things of God, including urgency about the times and passion for truth.

REVELATION, CHAPTERS 2 & 3

A brief look at Revelation 2:1-29 and Revelation 3:1-22

MESSAGE TO EPHESUS

‘I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them to be false; 3 and you have perseverance and have endured for My name’s sake, and have not grown weary. 4 But I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5 Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place—unless you repent. (Rev 2:2-5)

MESSAGE TO SMYRNA

‘I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy by those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. 11 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt by the second death.’ (Rev. 2:9-11)

MESSAGE TO PERGAMUM

‘I know where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is; and you hold fast My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days of Antipas, My witness, My faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. 14 But I have a few things against you, because you have there some who hold the teaching of Balaam, who kept teaching Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit acts of immorality. (Rev. 2:13-14)

MESSAGE TO THYATIRA

‘I know your deeds, and your love and faith and service and perseverance, and that your deeds of late are greater than at first. 20 But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. 21 I gave her time to repent, and she does not want to repent of her immorality. … Nevertheless what you have, hold fast until I come. 26 He who overcomes, and he who keeps My deeds until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations; (Rev. 2:19-2125-26)

MESSAGE TO SARDIS

He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars, says this: ‘I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die; for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God. 3 So remember what you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent. Therefore if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you. 4 But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy… (Rev. 3:1-4)

MESSAGE TO PHILADELPHIA

‘I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name. 9 Behold, I will cause those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—I will make them come and bow down at your feet, and make them know that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. (Rev. 3:8-10)

MESSAGE TO LAODICEA (AMERICAN CHURCH?)

‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. 16 So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, 18 I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. 19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. (Rev. 3:15-20)

Culture Collapse: the Dismantling of Truth & Church

When God is abandoned, truth ignored, and moral relativism accepted, any culture or society suffers as a result. In case you haven’t noticed, it’s happening in America. There are many factors involved including the falling away from traditional biblical doctrines and the past silence of Christians, but what we are seeing today is open rebellion against God as Creator and against the lordship of Jesus Christ.

Rather than being part of the solution to our nation’s growing immorality, American Christianity has often been part of the problem! Rather than being separate from the pattern of this world, too many professing believers have conformed to culture and then end up justifying their actions and lifestyles. Many have failed to build a solid foundation on Truth, and the end result is compromise or deception. Is the true Gospel preached and understood in your local church or are essential elements missing in action? This is the heart of the issue.

We’re blessed to have Eric Barger of Take a Stand Ministries back on the program today. He is one of many authors included in a brand new book, Deceivers: Exposing Evil Seducers & Their Last Days Deception.

We cover much SO much ground today as we catch up with Eric. We touch on the unprecedented level of media bias, political correctness, and hatred toward President Trump; the LGBTQ agenda advancing full speed ahead, and how well-meaning Christians have practically embraced false teachings.

From the Emergent Church and men (wolves) whose teachings we should avoid, to the sugary sweet preaching we often hear in many American churches, we discuss the importance of context, doctrine, and the lack of depth in the evangelical church today.

Eric Barger says the new evangelicals “have replaced salt with syrup,” adding: “Make no mistake; the postmodern penchant to hear only what they want and to reject the breadth of doctrine may sound sweet to their ears but results in spiritual sickness with incalculable costs.”

SCRIPTURES

Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,7 having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. 8 See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.9 For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, 10 and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority. Colossians 2:6-10

Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints. 4 For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. Jude 1:3-4

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2

The Damage and Influence of the Progressive ‘Emergent Church’

But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 2 Tim. 3:13-17

Is There Really a Shadow Government in Our Nation?

There will always be conspiracy theories.  Back in the 1960s there was talk of a “shadow government” that really set the agenda and pulled the strings of government officials, doing the bidding of power hungry globalists.  Those theories were widely dismissed.

But is the ‘Shadow Government” a reality, and if so, what would it mean for Christians in America?  Could it threaten our freedom to worship God and share His Word?  Could it one day force us to worship government instead of God, like in Marxist nations?

Author and Pastor Carl Gallups joins us to share his research and thoughts.  We also discuss the historic Summit where President Trump met with North Korea’s Kim Jong Un. Plus, we touch on the strange journey of Pastor Andy Stanley, who has said increasingly provocative things about the Bible over the past couple years. Has Stanley left the camp of solid Evangelical Christianity?

On the Brink of Cataclysmic Change?

You would be hard pressed to remember a time when world leaders faced such a series of important decisions that could lead to world wide war or calamity. Here are just a few things to consider: increased attacks against Israel by Hamas, an Iranian regime developing nuclear weapons; Russia is entrenched in Syria with an eye on Israel; Islam is sweeping across Europe and Asia; and Western nations are arguing about trade and tariffs which could lead to economic turmoil.

All of this is set against the background of Bible prophecy and is happening at a time when the ‘professing’ Christian Church in America and Europe seems to be floundering due in part to apathy, heresy, and an ecumenical movement that puts unity and peace above truth.

This week, a crucial summit is taking place between President Trump and North Korea’s Kim Jong Un spurred on by the president’s tough rhetoric against North Korea. Without God’s word as our anchor of hope, we could easily get depressed. But His word is truth and His promises everlasting.  Gary Kah of Hope For the World has studied and written about the coming one world government and religion, and joins us to put all this into proper context and perspective.

Can’t We All Just Coexist in Peace?

In our final segment, we look at the rioting by Hamas against Israel – as well as the response of the IDF – as the Trump administration officially recognizes Jerusalem as Israel’s capital city and location of the U.S. embassy. We’ll look at the facts versus how the news is being reported in the mainstream media. Is Hamas manipulating the West?

First, we catch up with Jay Seegert of The Starting Point Project to discuss the following:

How do we start a conversation with friends or neighbors that have a COEXIST bumper sticker on their car? Don’t start by telling them to “get that stupid Coexist sticker off your car!”

Does the Bible really say Christians should not judge others?

What are your plans for the summer and whatever happened to reading books? Also, what worthwhile projects can you and your family undertake that will glorify God and help you grow as Christians?

SEGMENT 3

52 Palestinians are Killed in Conflict Following US Embassy Move to Jerusalem

Courageously Standing With Israel

Today Israel marks the seventieth anniversary of its rebirth as a nation, a biblical prophecy from thousands of years ago fulfilled in 1948.  President Trump and the United States are marking the anniversary by officially moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, the long-standing capital of Israel, against opposition from almost the entire world.

Many believe this will incite Muslim nations to attack Israel with the greatest severity since the 1973 war, and that it could quickly spread to a major regional or even world war.  Iran’s growing influence, the rise of Turkey as a radical Muslim power, and the strong presence of Russia in the Middle East all point to a potentially serious conflict.

Jan Markell of Olive Tree Views and host of Understanding the Times Radio joins us this morning to discuss this significant anniversary in Israel’s history and discuss what might lie ahead.

In our final segment we talk with Wisconsin State Representative Andre Jacque and discuss local politics as well as the groundbreaking pro-life legislation recently signed into law in Iowa. We get an insider’s perspective today and remind people of the special Wisconsin Senate election tomorrow.

SCRIPTURES

For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them. Psalm 139:13-16

Now the Lord said to Abram,

“Go forth from your country,
And from your relatives
And from your father’s house,
To the land which I will show you;
2 And I will make you a great nation,
And I will bless you,
And make your name great;
And so you shall be a blessing;
3 And I will bless those who bless you,
And the one who curses you I will curse.
And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” Genesis 12:1-3

The Dilemma of Islam to the Disciple of Jesus Christ

According to 1 John Chapter 4, Islam is clearly a religion of Antichrist since Islam denies that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh. The holy books of Islam also call for world-wide domination through Shariah law which contradicts the U.S. Constitution and has often been imposed by extremely violent methods throughout history.

We must remember however, that Muslims are people made in the image of God, but they have been deceived by the father of lies. They need the gospel of salvation by knowing the true Jesus Christ, not the fictitious “Issa” taught in the Quran. This leaves Christians in a challenging position. Some Muslims are being radicalized to destroy our way of life and attack when called to do so and yet, we are faced with the command of Jesus to share the gospel and make disciples of all people and nations.

It’s important we have an accurate understanding of Islam. The media, government, and public education paint Islam as a religion of peace and tolerance, but few ask what do you mean by “peace”? A historically factual view of world events often paints a very different picture.  Our guest this morning, an expert on the topic, is Tony Gurule of Ratio Christi Ministries.  Tony has studied Islam, Sharia Law, and the Muslim Brotherhood extensively, and hosts weekly shows on the Aramaic Broadcast Network, “Colliding Worldviews” and “Islam & The News,” and “Truth Matters” on the NRB network.

What is Cruciform Theology?

Universal Salvation, the false teaching that a loving God would never allow a single person to suffer in Hell, is sadly alive and well and being used by the father of lies to deceive and to lull people to sleep, thinking they will live for eternity in the presence of God.  This dangerous doctrine has infiltrated Christian circles as it appeals to our flesh and especially to younger people who have not been taught the biblical truth about God’s judgment including His wrath against sin and those who reject Jesus Christ.

This false teaching comes in many names, and in our final segment we look at what is called “Cruciform Theology”.

We first visit with Pastor Carl Gallups and look at how recent events in Iran, Israel and the Middle East are pointing to the imminent rapture of the Church and the return of Jesus Christ to establish His everlasting Kingdom.

Segment 3: About Cruciform Theology

Understanding the End Game

Sometimes we can get so wrapped up in an event or time that we fail to take a step back and look at the big picture.  If you take a snapshot of what is happening in the world these days it might look like this:  A decaying moral society; leaders who care more about their personal wealth and power instead of serving those they lead; an imminent major war in the Middle East; and an overall feeling of anxiety permeating every aspect of society and the lives of many.  Yes a simple snapshot at any given time can paint a powerful picture… and the picture we see these days is not a pretty one.

But God has given us His Word so that believers might not be deceived by what we see around us.  We are to take note of what is happening around us so we can understand it in context of God’s promises.  And our guest this morning is a voice of reason and hope for such a time as this.

Gary Kah of Hope For the World has written insightful books on the coming one world government and one world religion, all the while encouraging believers to always maintain the eternal hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Gary joins us this morning to look at the crisis in Syria that has the world on the brink of another huge war, along with the accelerating movement toward a one world government and religion where humanity will pledge its allegiance to the enemies of God.
